Wedding Flower

FAQs

Answers to some of the questions we’re most often asked about wedding flowers, pricing and working with The Posy Crew across Port Douglas, Cairns and Far North Queensland.

How do I enquire about wedding flowers with The Posy Crew?

The easiest way to get started is to complete our wedding enquiry form with your date, venue and a few details about what you are planning. We’ll review your enquiry and get back to you within 3–5 business days with availability and the next steps.

If you’d like to understand our style, pricing and process before enquiring, our Wedding Flowers Guide is a great place to start.

What areas do you service for wedding flowers?

We create wedding flowers across Port Douglas, Palm Cove, Cairns and throughout Far North Queensland.

For larger weddings and events, we can also travel further afield within Queensland, interstate or overseas. Travel, accommodation and additional logistics are quoted separately where required.

Do you have a minimum spend for wedding flowers?

Yes. Our minimum wedding flower investment is $3,000, excluding delivery, installation and pack down.

Our focus is full-service wedding floral design, where we can create a cohesive look across personal flowers, ceremony florals and reception styling. This allows us to give each wedding the level of design, preparation and attention it deserves.

You can find more information about typical investment levels in our Wedding Flowers Guide.

How much should I budget for wedding flowers?

Wedding flower budgets vary depending on the scale of your celebration, the types of designs you choose, seasonal flower availability and the amount of installation required.

Knowing your approximate budget helps us recommend where your investment will have the most visual impact and allows us to create a proposal that is realistic and aligned with what you are hoping to achieve.

Our Wedding Flowers Guide includes typical pricing examples to help you plan.

How far in advance should we book our wedding florist?

For larger weddings, destination celebrations and popular dates, we recommend getting in touch as early as possible.

Peak wedding dates in Far North Queensland can book well in advance, while smaller or off-peak weddings may require less lead time. We only take on a limited number of weddings each year so we can give each celebration the attention it deserves.

Do you create bouquet-only orders or small elopement packages?

Our main focus is full-service wedding floral design, so we generally don’t take on bouquet-only orders.

From time to time we may be able to accommodate smaller elopements or intimate weddings outside peak periods, depending on availability. If you love our work and are planning something small, you are welcome to get in touch and we can let you know what may be possible.

Can we request specific flower varieties?

You are welcome to tell us which flowers, colours and styles you love, but we don’t guarantee exact flower varieties.

Seasonal availability plays a big part in our work, so we use your colour palette, overall mood and design direction to guide our flower selection. This gives us the flexibility to work creatively with the best seasonal flowers and foliage available at the time.

What does full-service wedding floral design include?

Depending on your wedding, our service can include bridal and wedding party flowers, ceremony arrangements, reception florals, statement installations, vessels and floral mechanics.

We can also take care of delivery, installation and pack down so the floral side of your wedding is handled from beginning to end.

Do you deliver, install and pack down wedding flowers?

Yes. For most full-service weddings we can take care of delivery, installation and pack down.

These services are quoted separately depending on your venue, access requirements, installation time and the scale of your floral designs.

Why is the booking fee non-refundable?

Your booking fee secures your wedding date and covers the initial planning and design work involved in preparing for your celebration.

Once your booking is confirmed, we reserve that date for your wedding and may turn away other work, so the booking fee is non-refundable.

What are your wedding flower payment terms?

A 25% non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your wedding date.

The remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding. Final payment needs to be received before flowers are ordered and your event takes place.

Can I get an idea of wedding flower pricing before I enquire?

Absolutely. Our Wedding Flowers Guide includes our minimum investment and typical pricing examples to help you understand what may be realistic for your plans.

Every wedding is individually designed, so final pricing will depend on the scale of your celebration, flower selection, venue and installation requirements.

Do you create floral styling for corporate events?

Yes. We also create floral styling for corporate events, gala dinners, brand activations and special events across Port Douglas, Cairns and Far North Queensland.
